Frank Sinatra - I Can Read Between the Lines (Where Are You)
Writer(s): Getzov/Frank
You don't laugh anymore, when we're alone
You don't talk quite as long, when we're on the phone
You say that you, still love me so
But I can read between the lines
You don't hear half the things, that I say to you
You don't hold me as close, as you used to do
You say that you, won't let me go
But I can read between the lines
Your love for me is over
It isn't hard to tell
In every single thing you do
You say it all too well
And the glow in your eyes, is there no more
When you speak of the plans, that you have in store
It's time my dear, that I let you know
That I can read between the lines
Pozostale piosenki artysty Frank Sinatra (1339):
Be Careful, Its My Heart
Blue Skies
Fools Rush In
Ill Be Seeing You
Ill Never Smile Again

I was a projectionist in my youth and ran this movie short. It made a profound impression on me. In this movie, Sinatra sings "The House I live in." In this version the song was missing, Why? It's vital.

The film itself is out of copyright, but copyright is claimed in the songs and Youtube had taken down another version of the film containing the two song performances. I decided to to re-upload the film without the songs becuase the message of the film still comes through without them.

This clip of film made during 1945 was to highlight the diversity of the country. The man who directed it, Albert Maltz, was later imprisoned as one of the Hollywood Ten, because he went to a "Communist" meeting. Sinatra was called in front of HUAC (the House UnAmerican Activities Committee) and lost his recording contract. His career was gone until From Here to Eternity. When the blowhards try to claim the mantle of patriotism, remember it is diversity that makes us strong and has kept us free
